The 2023 Royer Chardonnay “548” is a single clone selection that was elevated in a once used DAMY Exclusive barrel for two years. On the nose, enticing aromas of lemon, lime, ripe white peach, acacia flower, and clove. On the palate, structured and concentrated with flavours of pear, ripe white stone fruits, and subtle oak spice, alongside a distinct streak of minerality and a hint of salinity. A brisk lemon-like acidity frames the palate, leading to a long finish that echoes with hints of mint, marzipan, and white flowers.
