Royer Vineyard
At Royer Vineyard, we began in 2016 with a passion and philosophy to do just one thing - grow the best white grapes in Oregon. Our focus began with Chardonnay and Riesling. In 2023 we expanded with one acre of Sauvignon Blanc. With a few more acres unexplored we will see what comes next.

This vineyard began as a hope more than a plan. We were drawn to this place in the Eola-Amity Hills because it felt honest. The wind never stops. The soils are unforgiving. Chardonnay doesn't have an easy time here — and that's exactly why we believed it could be special.
From the beginning, we chose to farm slowly and carefully. We accepted smaller yields, more risk, and more doubt, because we wanted the wine to reflect where it came from, not how much of it we could make. For a long time, these bottles were shared only with people close to us.
When the Chardonnay was later tasted by Decanter and Wine Enthusiast and others, and received 96-97 points, it felt less like a celebration and more like a quiet nod - a sign that what we were trying to do made sense beyond our own little world.
If you open our wines, we hope you notice the calm confidence
Soft citrus and stone fruits, a gentle mineral texture, and a saline finish shaped by wind and volcanic soil. It doesn't rush. It doesn't shout. It simply unfolds.
We make very little of this Chardonnay, and each vintage is its own moment, never repeated.
If this becomes your first bottle or your hundredth from Royer Vineyard, we hope it feels like a beginning - unhurried, genuine, and personal.
